If you’ve found yourself at Moerlein lately, you might have noticed this on tap – it’s a light, easy drinker that is damn near perfect for the summer season.  Their Mexican Lime Lager is cementing itself as a pool beer for drinkers all over Cincinnati by making it’s way into packaging – cans to be exact.

About The Beer

Mexican Lime Lager is a crisp golden lager brewed with lime and sea salt for a “south of the border twist”.  The brewery says that it’s a “fiesta of fascinating flavors featuring notes of lemon-lime and a slight acidity up front that’s washed away with a wave of fresh lime zest.  It’s dry finish leaves you ready for another sip, or two, or cinco.”

The beer comes in at 5.5% ABV and 12 IBUs, making it sit right in the sweet spot for warm weather drinking.  I can vouch for this one, after putting back a few the last time I ventured down to the lager house for dinner.

You should start seeing these in stores very soon, as they’re set to start making their way out the door next week!

Update – You can read my tasting notes about the beer right here!
