For the second year in a row, the Great Milford Area Historical Society is launching an event that satisfies a couple different urges… the desire to learn a little more about local history, and the urge to drink some fantastic local beers alongside it.  ‘Thirsty 4 History’ was a big hit last year, and they’re hoping that this year will be even better!

About The Event

Promont Mansion – Photo Courtesy of the Greater Milford Historical Society.

The event runs from 3-6pm on July 29th at the Promont museum in Milford Ohio (906 Main Street).  There will be locally brewed beer, Food, Entertainment, Crafting Demonstrations, Cincinnati antique bottle display, silent auction, split the pot, and museum tours too – it’s a whole lot crammed into one action packed afternoon!

The event is put together as a way to introduce the commute to the Greater Milford Area Historical Society and the historic Promont museum too, which is an 1865 Italianate mansion that the society calls home.  This event is one of many that the society is using to celebrate their 50th anniversary and is part of their ‘Membership Matters’ initiative.

The event itself is for adults, 21 and up.  Admission is $30 a person and it includes six 4 ounce beer tastings and tapas style food servings as well.  You also have a non-drinker option which runs $20.  If you’re interested you can log onto www.MilfordHistory.net and reserve your spot.  Are you looking for some of the specifics?  I gotcha covered:
