It’s always fun to write good, happy beer news – and this is great news for anyone living in the state of Ohio.  It’s about to get a lot easier to get your thirsty face onto some FigLeaf beer as they have announced their partnership with Cavalier Distributing to get their beer across the whole state.

The agreement is for their draft offerings, but Cavalier will begin distribution of:

  • Basmati Cream Ale
  • Iso-Trope IPA
  • Pride of Cin-Day English Pale Ale
  • Ponderous Porter
  • Seasonals and Specialty Releases.

The intent of the brewery has always been to distribute a fairly large amount of beer, they didn’t put their big 20bbl brewhouse in just because it looks awesome across the taproom.

The brewery has an extremely important role in my mind – they are part of the new wave of Northern Cincinnati breweries that will play a vital role in the coming years as the bridge between Cincinnati and Dayton is slowly created, bringing our two beer communities a little closer together.

The ability to start getting beer onto tap handles in bars and restaurants across not just the Greater Cincinnati area, but all across the state of Ohio will do amazing things in the slow and steady process of cementing Cincinnati as one of the premier beer cities not just in Ohio but in the country as a whole.  The more of our breweries that people recognize – the better off we all are.

A massive congratulations has to go out to the entire team out there at Figleaf… keep doing what you’re doing!!!
