For the second year in a row, Listermann is brewing up a batch of ‘Riveting Rosie’ for International Women’s Day.  This year they’re going to kick things up to another level, though, with some really great stuff for the tapping event, as well as 3 different farmhouse ales being brewed to celebrate with a four pack.

The Beers

Riveting Rosie Saison is a saison brewed with hibiscus, it debuted last year for the celebration of International Women’s Day (You can read my thoughts on the beer here). This years four pack will include three different bottles of Farmhouse Ales.  All the beers will be female brewed as another way to celebrate, and $1 of every pint during the tapping event will be donated to Women Helping Women, along with 10% of the bottle sales.

Women Helping Women is a local organization that provides evidence-based intervention and support services for survivors of dating violence, sexual violence, domestic violence and stalking.  It’s a cause that Listermann alongside a lot of the local beer community feel strongly about, and I love seeing events like this to not just provide support, but to bring more awareness to the issue.

Each of the farmhouse ales will showcase artwork from three different, local Cincinnati female artists, tying the whole package together.

The Event

The details for the event are still being finalized, but it will definitely be taking place on International Women’s Day on Thursday, March 8th starting at 5pm.

There will definitely be live screen printing, a photo booth and a raffle to help raise more money for the charity.  The big goal of it all being to show off the amazing, strong women in Cincinnati, and to help give a sense of female empowerment throughout the city.

As things get closer, I’ll be reminding you about this event, and definitely filling you in on some more of the details!
