This event has quickly become a favorite of beer drinkers in Cincinnati, and within minutes of ordering your first beer, it’s easy for the new “flipper” to see why. Here’s the simple, but brilliant concept: order your beer, and flip a coin – should you guess what side it’s going to land on correctly, your beer is only a penny. Guess wrong, and it’s normal price. It’s like gambling…for beer. Head to the Brewpub to see what it’s all about!
/// Tomato Dodgers /// (Maryland)
Tomato Dodgers are an action-funk rock and roll band from College Park, Maryland, right outside the nation’s capitol. They’ve steadily built up a fascinated following across the east coast, with dynamic and strange participatory performances that blur the line between stage show and immersive art piece. They dance – they feed each other toast – they rap – they build doomsday devices onstage – and mostly they shred festivals and house shows like you or I might mow a lawn: with vigor and fierce skill.
Tomato Dodgers write their own music and book their own tours. The past year has seen the band touring rigorously, including shows in Japan and South Korea, festivals across the U.S., a seven-week marathon of pure DIY, and runs with Lionize and World/Inferno Friendship Society.
They will not rest until they perform on the moon.
/// Pressure Fit ///
Pressure Fit is the post-rock inspired hip-hop jazz brainchild of No BS Brass + Foxygen low brass artist Reginald Chapman.
For this tour, Reggie has teamed up with some all-star players including acclaimed LA based trombonist Ryan Porter who has been recently touring hard with Kamasi Washington.
The band is rounded out with horn players, percussionists and a vocalist that have collectively performed with Macy Gray, Herbie Hancock, Al Green, Pearl Jam, Chance the Rapper, Gerald Clayton and many more, Reggie is excited to take his original compositions and inventive re-imaginations of classics on the road. Oozing with talent, these cats are guaranteed to get a crowd moving and grooving — you can definitely feel something building at a Pressure Fit show.
