I understand that not everyone spends as much time inside Jungle Jim’s as I do, so you might not be aware that their Barrel Aged Beer Bash is coming up. This will be the second year that this festival is being offered upstairs at the Oscar Event Center, and much like everything else beer related in this city it has grown exponentially in the last year. The festival is being expanded to two nights instead of just one like it was in 2014.

What is the festival? It’s a celebration of the big, bold barrel aged brews that are quickly becoming all the rage of beer geeks worldwide, and is a wonderful way to experience all that barrel aging ha to offer, including some really great rare stuff that you most likely will never see again.

This year they are anticipating over 60 types of beers from breweries all across the country. No matter if you are a barrel aged pro, or a newbie to these beers its a festival that you won’t want to miss.  It’s something very similar, but at the same time very different and way more focused than their International Beer Fest that happens every summer.

The “Bash” takes place on Friday, January 16th and Saturday, January 17th 2015.  You can pick up your tickets at Jungle Jims (at the tasting bar…I think it’s a great excuse to stop and have a pint) General Admission is $40 and you can get Designated Driver Tickets for $15.
