The subtle malt backbone combats the bitterness and intensity of floral, grassy and citrus hop flavors. However, taste is perception. What’s your slant?

Psychopathy is one of the most popular beers that MadTree offers, and for very good reasons.  This is a floral, but earthy IPA, that while it will satisfy the hop heads out there, won’t turn off everyone else either.  With lots of orange flavors, the juicy citrus side of this beer is balanced with a bitter pine and a slight toastiness underneath it all.

The can design is beautiful – with artwork from Margaret Weiner (you may know her from local band “The Seedy Seeds”) this can screams just what it is… a bit hop forward and slightly “mad”.  As for what you see in the inkblot on the can… it all depends on who is looking at it, and of course how many beers deep you might be at that moment.

It’s a great beer for a hot summer day but goes down wonderfully in the dead of winter as well.  You can tell MadTree is proud of this beer, when you see the giant artwork for it on their grain silo outside of the brewery.  Pick up a six-pack, thank me later… Psychopathy is delicious.
