Beer- Pure Fury
Style- Pale Ale
Intensely hopped yet restrained, bright and tropical fruit forward American Pale Ale with Amarillo, Mosaic and Cascade hops. An essay in finesse.
My Thoughts on Rhinegeist Pure Fury
Delightful. If I had to describe Pure Fury in one word (that didn’t tell you anything about the beer but that let you know I loved it) that’s the word I would use. This beer instantly brings a smile to my face when I pull a can out of the beer fridge, knowing what is about to come.
It pours a grest golden color with a nice sized frothy off-white head that can only be described as thick. It’s a beautiful beer…but looking at it alone doesn’t do anything to let you in on it’s tastiness.
Your first sip…pure joy. It’s a cascade of great american hops. They are bright, clean and citrusy. A flowery perfume of hop aromas hit your nose as you bring the glass up for another, and another. This beer is light enough that you can drink it as quickly as you will most likely want to.
Pure Fury is a wonderful example of what Rhinegeist does best, in my opinion. It’s not really a “session IPA” – It’s just a wonderful, fresh, hoppy pale ale that leaves you feeling good. Well done.
