It’s hard to believe that we have been working on this podcast for six months already, but with our 25th Episode we thought we’d take a moment to soak it all in and do a little reminiscing about the last half year and some of the memorable times we’ve had on the show. Not to change the format too much, we still started with our favorite segment:
From the Beer Fridge
We brought a few different beers, which all ended up exceeding our expectations and making on of the best From The Beer Fridge segments that we’ve had to date on the show! We tried:
- Taft’s Ale House – Cherrywood Amber
- Rhinegeist – Chester, Cherry Saison
- Jackie O’s – Matriarch Triple IPA
A fantastic selection that covers a full range of flavors, maybe it was the night, maybe the beers just sat perfectly with each other but each taste really complimented the previous perfectly.
When we first started talking about the possibility of doing this show, I don’t know if any of us had a clue at how well it was going to take off. We spent the bulk of the show talking about the success that we have found within the show, from some of our most memorable guests and interviews to the unbelievable gratitude we have for our fans who tune in week after week live via Periscope or in person at one of our monthly live shows. It’s all extremely unbelievable and humbling to see the love we receive.
We also turned the tables a bit and asked each other questions…even some of the same questions that you might here come up during some of our guest interviews. We took a moment (actually a few moments, this is one of our longer shows) to really talk to each other, something you might not hear as often on the air as we usually save show time for getting to know our local beer.
This show has been nothing short of a breakout success for us. We feel that we are, week after week, hitting our goal of giving Cincinnati craft beer it’s own voice. We have no plans on slowing down yet. This beer scene is growing and thriving, and so is Cincy BrewCast! – We have some pretty exciting shows coming up, next week Mike is out of town, but Tina and I will be manning the studio with a guest host, and some Oktoberfest beer to get the ball rolling on my favorite beer season. We have a couple live shows coming the near future as well, so stay tuned and we’ll see you live at your local taproom soon enough!
