Rhinegeist BrewingI know, I know – we have to start this with the standard, boring old “this doesn’t mean that they will do this, or is in any way representative of when they’ll do it.”  But It’s certainly a good sign for anyone out there who is a fan of this beer.  Label approval for their single hop pale ale “Mosaic” just popped up.  Score!

Wait… you don’t know about Mosaic?  Well, allow me!

About Mosaic Hops

These hops have been around since 2012, and are renowned for their delicious aromas.  You might be familiar with some of the bubblegummy, blueberry, mango, tangerine and papaya aromas that it brings to the table.  It’s fantastically fruity.

I’ve heard this referred to as a ‘wonder hop’ because of its ability to work so well in the different parts of the process, aroma, bittering and flavor.

It’s hard to ignore it when it’s in your face in a single hopped pale ale, it smacks you with fruit.

About Rhinegeist’s Mosaic

First introduced in their 22oz bomber ‘Rarity’ series, this was one of the very first in their line of single hopped pale ales.  It’s been a fan favorite ever since then.  The brewery has often raved about this beer having the ability to change in your glass a lot as your work your way through your pint and it warms.  The can itself reads:

This single hopped Pale Ale detonates upon the palate with a brilliant array of dank, tropical fruit, grapefruit blossom, mandarin orange and blueberries.  Golden Promise malt provides a clean base – a kaleidoscope of flavor delivered with the simplest of recipes.

It comes in at a respectable, but easy drinking 5.6% ABV and 45 IBUs, and as I said before, this is a label for a can… so keep your eyes peeled, and your fridges ready!
