Christian Moerlein Brewing Company is revamping its Mug Club programs to keep up with the changing beer scene (a task I can only imagine is daunting for our current local breweries to think of).
Their two programs are their Mug Club and a Beer Locker program, which both offer some really great benefits that should cover fans of every degree who like to visit the Moerlein Lager House.
The goal of the programs is not only to show your loyalty to the brewery but to enable beer fans to sample new beers from Moerlein and guest breweries regularly.
The Mug Club
This club is the replacement for the current Hogshead Union Membership. It costs a low $10 per person and includes the following benefits:
- Moerlein beer in a special 23-ounce glass for $6.50
- $2 discounts on all growler refills (until 9 pm) daily.
- 20% discounts on all retail items
- Invitations to weekly mug club happy hours featuring exclusive beer tappings and meet-the-brewer events.
Beer Locker
The beer locker program is a little steeper in price; it’s designed for the more hardcore Moerlein fans. It’s $33 a month per person for the first 80 lockers and includes the following benefits:
- A personal beer locker at the Lager House
- A commemorative Rookwood beer stein
- Moerlein beer in the special 23oz glass for $6.50
- $2 discount on all growler refills (until 9 pm) daily.
- 20% discount on all retail items
- Invitations to weekly Mug Club happy hours featuring exclusive beer tappings and meet-the-brewer events.
- New Moerlein beer (packaging will be based on beer availability) will be placed in the locker each month.
- New featured guest beer (packaging will be based on the availability of the beer) will be placed in the locker each month.
The Club Launch
The two new clubs are launching tonight (March 8th) at the Lager House with a happy hour from 4-7 pm. The clubs will be on sale from now on (with the exception of the Beer Locker, once those are gone, they are gone)
