The modern Christian Moerlein Brewing company respects the food side of beer more than the average Cincinnati brewery might.  I’m not sure if you’ve ever had dinner at the Lager House, and more specifically if you’ve ever been to one of their beer dinners, but it’s pretty amazing.  It doesn’t surprise me to see the brewery teaming up with the Jean-Robert French Restaurant Group on some exclusive menu items to help launch the brewery’s newest seasonal beer called ‘77 Winter.

The brewery and the restaurants are teaming up to craft an exclusive menu item available at each of Jean-Robert’s restaurants, these will not only pair perfectly with the beer, but will feature the beer in the recipe as well.

About The Collaboration

This beer is a pretty fun one for Christian Moerlein.  ‘77 Winter utilizes the essence of Glayva, a Scottish liqueur.  These flavors range from Mediterranean tangerines, Cinnamon, Almonds, and honey… it’s a ton of flavors that work fantastically in the kitchen.  What better way to showcase that then team up with one of the areas finest restaurant groups?

Each restaurant will have it’s own take on integrating the new beer and catching the essence of it’s flavor profile.  You’ll be able to find the dishes at each restaurant at different times as a special alongside their usual menu.  The schedule is as follows:

  • Jean-Robert’s Table – 713 Vine Street – Dinner Special throughout November
  • French Crust – 1801 Elm Street – Dinner Special throughout November
  • Le Bar a Boeuf – 2200 Victory Parkway – Dinner Special throughout November
  • Restaurant L – 301 E Fourth St – Served on Friday’s “Express Lunch”
