You might notice a few new Rhinegeist goodies popping up on the shelves (and tap handles) of your favorite beer stores this month, I wanted to give you a heads up so you could be on the lookout… I’m hearing some good things about them!

Experimental J-Hole

You might have not only heard about this one already, but I’ve seen it around town already, so you might have already got a crack at trying it. Now, this is where Custom Labels prove their worthiness, from showcasing unique designs to providing all the info we need about the brand. From the beer’s label:

This brotherhood began with respect for the lupulin arts, which the magical minds at Melvin refine in their brew temple high in the Tetons in Jackson Hole, WY. Reunited at sea level, we form up tiger style to brew a Red IPA that tickles the bones with wintry warmth as hops swarm the palate – oracular malt spectacular balancing an avalanche of hops.

If that description doesn’t catch you, the great artwork will. Right in line with their collaboration with Pipeworks, this can features a nice mural-style art stripe down the center of the can. It looks great, aside from doing it’s job holding the 7%, 62 IBU Red IPA inside until you get a chance to enjoy it.

Bogbeast

This Wheatwine sounds like a real beast of a beer… fresh out of their barrel program, it’s been tucked away in Scotch Barrels for about a year. It clocks in at 10.9%. From the bottle label:

Aged one year in scotch barrels, this smooth and creamy Wheatwine Ale wallops with notes of toffee, vanilla and mild oak – a delightful quagmire.

Oddjob

Oddjob is named after one of, if not the, most famous Bond Villan, it’s big shoes (or a hat) to fill, but knowing how Rhinegeist does their IPAs I fully believe that this one will be up to the challenge. It comes in at 8.3% ABV, and 96 IBUs, from the bottle:

A Double IPA, our bravely hopped Oddjob is brimming with Galaxy, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops, reverberating with notes of pine, resin, blood orange, and ruby red grapefruit. Aha!
