Brewery – Streetside
Beer – #Blessed
Style – NE IPA
ABV – 6.4%

Bringing together a revelrous jubilee of sticky tropical aromatics of caramelized pineapple and pina colada’s with light dankness.  Finishing off with a silky mouthfeel and a creamy finish.

Streetside’s #Blessed is a tiki lovers dream, but I’ll get to the actual experience of the beer in a minute.

This was first released on 12/15/17 on tap in the Streetside taproom, but if you’re a regular listener to Cincy Brewcast you’ll know that we got a little sneak preview of the beer on Volume 3, Episode 24 with Garrett Hickey. During the show, Garrett also revealed that on 1/20/18 this beer would be making it’s debut in 16 ounce cans too.

The beer is hopped up with Vic Secret and Citra hops, which has left Streetside with what they called their “most tropical NE IPA to date”… and me with one of my favorite examples of the style to date.

My Thoughts On Streetside #Blessed

The color that pours into the glass when you dig into #Blessed is half of the fun.  It’s a stunning hazy golden color with a thin, small, white head on top.

There are aromas citrus fruits, grassiness and some floral notes too.  The aromas are light and fleeting, nothing to smack you in the face.

The taste, though… there’s not much to hide here – it’s a tropical drink in a glass.  I get a done of citrus fruit, pineapple, and passion fruit.  The light body and carbonation lends to the tiki drink feeling of it.  Wonderful.  Fantastic.  Beautiful!
