Stout fans will be pretty happy to see this label approval.  Especially as the weather keeps pounding us with relentless wintery cold.  It’s stout season, folks!

I guess I should start this out with my standard disclaimer – this is a label approval.  You know how this works by now.  It doesn’t mean that it will necessarily be made, or if it is, it doesn’t mean anything about when it’s going to be made.  So, with all that being said – let’s have a look at the label!

Power Stoutage

This Milk Stout comes in at 5.7% ABV and 23 IBUs, and gets a helping hand towards stouty nirvana with Coffee and Cocoa added to it.  The label reads:

Dark notes of roasted and chocolate malt come together to produce a stout that is rich and dark as the night of a power outage.  Blended in, you will find the presence of raw cocoa and coffee, like a jolt of electricity running through the darkness.  Rich and warming, this beer is perfect for fireside or candle light, you won’t want the Power Stoutage to end.

Keep your eyes peeled for this one, as I expect it’s going to be the next up in the seasonal rotation from Moerlein, possibly sliding in right after ‘77 Winter, or maybe even alongside it?  Either way… I’ll let you know more details when I hear them, and of course, will fire off some tasting notes once I get my hands on the beer!
