Starting December 7th, Sayler Park’s 13 Below brewery will be kicking off a week of festivities that all center around fundraising, and helping others in a time of year where we should all be putting a little more effort into supporting our communities. If you are unable to attend any of the events listed but still want to show your support, you can donate online using fundraising platforms such as GoFundMe.

Toys For Tots

The brewery has teamed up with the local Marine Corps in their annual Toys for Tots campaign. If you bring in a new, unwrapped toy to the taproom, starting at 4 pm on Friday and continuing throughout Saturday you can get 1/2 off of your first pint of beer.

Toys for Tots was founded back in 1947 and has been dedicated since then to distributing toys to children whose parents can’t afford to buy them any for Christmas. In 1995, the Secretary of Defense approved Toys for Tots as an official mission of the US Marine Corps reserve.

Habitat For Humanity

On Saturday, December 8th the brewery is teaming up with Habitat for Humanity to raise funds for a local building project. A percentage of taproom sales will go towards the fund. To get you into the holiday spirit the brewery will be hosting live music all day starting at noon.

Jessica Merchant will be playing at 3:30 pm and the Sullivan & Janszen Band will be playing at 8 pm. Go… support. Enjoy yourself.

Canned Food Drive

Continuing all through December, the brewery is also working on a canned food drive for their local food pantries. If you bring 2-3 canned food items in, you can receive $1 off of your first pint of beer.

It’s the only way to make discounted beer taste even better… discount it by knowing that you’re going to be helping someone else along the way. Maybe it’s the time of year, but supporting communities, supporting people who need it – this is the stuff that gets me out to a taproom.

We all love to drink beer – let’s use that to really do some good things in the world around us.
