Braxton Labs is about a lot of things. It’s about innovation and creativity first and foremost – but when you really dig into what the small taproom in the back of The Party Source has become in the last two years you start to get a glimpse at another side of things too. The brewery has become a place to spark conversation. It’s smaller than Braxton’s HQ, quieter, and a completely different atmosphere.

Labs has gained it’s own group of fans in the same way that any neighborhood taproom in Cincinnati has, and for their anniversary party they’re kicking off a membership group that is designed for these folks specifically.

Before we dig into that, though – I want give mention to the beer that they’re also releasing for the event (which is tomorrow for those of you who are paying attention…)

French Toast Pastry Stout

Beer for breakfast is the theme here, and it’s one that I can whole heartily get behind, too. This big, dark, rich imperial stout is designed to satisfy your sweet tooth in a big way.

Braxton refermented the beer on 2 gallons per barrel of Grade A maple syrup, and then added some vanilla beans, cinnamon and nutmeg to create a beer that brings brunch to your glass.

You can always get a full list of the latest packaged beer releases in Cincinnati by clicking on each month’s ‘Cincinnati Beer Roundup’ - Here... I’ll make it easy for you, June’s roundup is right here!

It clocks in at 10.9% ABV and will be on draft as well as released in four packs of 16oz cans during the anniversary party.

The Society of Innovators

If you find yourself spending your drinking time at Braxton Labs, and you’re a fan of what they’ve been doing – this should perk up your ears. To continue with the celebration of their anniversary, the brewery is launching a club that has some pretty sweet benefits for their fans.

Signing up for the Braxton Labs Society of Innovators you a lot more than just discounted purchases in the taproom (though it does that too..) You get:

  • A Laminated Membership Card
  • 10% Off All Purchases In The Taproom
  • 2 Member Exclusive Glasses
  • Member Exclusive T-Shirt
  • The ability to reserve all the Braxton Labs can releases online
  • 2 Bottles per member of exclusive bottle releases
  • Admission to member exclusive events at the Loft at Braxton
  • First right of refusal for the 2020 membership.

The part that might be getting you most excited is the beer releases. Yeah – you are pre-purchasing a set of bottles that you probably know by now will be delicious. While things are always subject to the possibility of changing, as of now the tentative releases for the next year are sounding pretty awesome to me:

  • July – Bourbon Barrel Aged Barleywine
  • October – Pink Tequila Barrel Aged Imperial Fruited Berliner Weisse
  • December – Bourbon Barrel Aged Samoa Imperial Stout
  • March – Bourbon Barrel Aged French Toast Stout
  • May – Rye Barrel Aged Strong Ale

These member exclusive bottles alone should get you contemplating the membership – but when you couple it up with the other benefits, it’s almost a no-brainer if you spend any amount of time in the taproom. The membership is $200.00, and like it says above, you also get first right of refusal to become a member next year.

You can buy your membership on the Braxton online store (until it sells out) – which might not take long, get it while you can!
