All About Karrikin
Karrikin is not just a distillery. They have created an idea that brings a destination for foodies, drinkers, and really any person who has an interest in being introduced to different flavors and experiences from around the world, and while they’re still new (they opened their doors in December of 2018) I can say without a doubt that I think they’re nailing the big idea that they’ve set before themselves.
The space is comfortable, but still brings forth the immediately familiar (for me) idea of a taproom – concrete and stainless is warmed up by candlelight and laughter – and the smells of the amazing small plate food hits you as soon as you walk in the door. Regardless of what you walk in looking for – they’ve either already made it, or have it on the schedule of things they want to produce. Beer, Cider, Spirits, Sodas, nothing is off the table here, and with an amazing team of familiar faces, they’ve built things from the ground up with personnel to make sure that it happens exactly how it’s supposed to!
